2012 Camaro 1LT/RS Exhaust, mrtv1, 2, or Magnaflow Resonated X-Pipe/Muffler Delete
I know there are a million exhaust threads on here, but I've narrowed down my choices to these three: MRTV1, MRTV2, and the Magnaflow Resonated X-Pipe/Muffler Delete
I noticed people putting the magnaflow x pipe one on 2014 camaros and was curious if it would fit on the 2012. I couldn't find any links for MRTV 1 or 2. If someone could post some links for these kits, it would greatly appreciated. Budget is around $1000 give or take, but i also want the biggest bang for my buck, and my car being too loud is not a problem ![]() Also, if there are other mods that would go great with any of these kits, please let me know. Thank you EDIT: I'm also about to order the CAI air intake system to go with the exhaust Last edited by LSYouTiger; 03-31-2015 at 10:37 PM. Reason: to edit |

Contact APEX here on the forum. See about a package deal for both a CAI and MRT axle back system.

I would say for 1000$, buy a cold air intake, straight pipe if you want super loud, or MRT V1 if you want loud too but with quality sound compare to the straight pipe, and then add a set of SOLO J pipes to kill the inside cabin drone cuz it does cause headache if you drive a lot highway.
if its too loud or too raspy, then do a magnaflow resonated x pipe and replace it with the stock H pipes. |

MRT V.1 - Loud, great sound, highly recommended.
MRT V.2 - Quieter than the V.1 but still loud with a great sound. Straight Pipe - Loudest, but very raspy in high rpms. I'm currently running the MRT V.1 and I love it, if you're looking to spend $1,000 I'd also go with a Cold Air Inductions intake. The resonated X-Pipe can be added to any of these exhaust setups and will give you a deeper sound, while making your exhaust note a bit quieter.

welded seperately, as each product is sell by different company... i think the only exhaust system that came with the j pipes is the solo cat back, which is their own exhaust obviously...

Hopefully soon that is the set-up that I am going with. I have a Roto-Fab Intake (I think the best out there) and going with a solo catback exhaust. Since this is my daily driver I will put up a video of how it sounds so you can decide. Well it won't be for a while though. but are you looking for a complete system or just the axleback because for $1,000 you can do more as well. Depending on what you are looking for of course.

The biggest bang for your buck would be:
resonated x-pipe = $100 + installation (~$40-60) muffler delete = ~$40-60 CAI = $400 It'll sound great and you'll still have ~$380 to spend on other mods like a Vitesse Throttle Controller...I have the resonated x-pipe with 2.5" piping all the way back and it sounds awesome.. |

Like everyone said it depends on how loud you want it, the res x pipe will cut down on a lot of volume, but you will loose most of the rasp and some drone, and it will give a deeper tone, it really just comes down to personal preference.

A muffler delete is removing the stock mufflers and welding in straight pipe in their place.
