first off 1 click to the left of the halos is auto. parking light setting is the halo on the zl-1 and ss Camaros. this does not work at night as I just went outside and tried it. im thinking must be something to do with the light sensor but it definitely works in the daytime

ok...I thought it worked at night also. Thanks for confirming I'm not losing it. Now, why would you want all three lights on during the daytime? A vendor sells a simple wiring harness to make all three trun on at night I think.

it really wasn't about my desire to have them on I just accidentally discovered this glitch sitting in traffic for so long looking into the pickup truck tailgate in front of me that I noticed them all on

On my 2013 ZL1 during the day I just press the fog light button and I get Halo + DRL + Fog lights on. (Push the center of the light switch.) No need to turn the lights off auto.

If headlights come on the DRL go out and I get HID + Halo + Fog.

BTW I also tend to run with no lights. Turn the light switch to the left and it disables the "auto" light during that key cycle and DRL is turned off.

Can someone explain which light is which on our cars? I know the headlights are up top and also have halos. Are the halos DRLs? I know the fog lights are the bottom (smaller lights), but what are the middle lights? They look like older fog lights.

I felt like Clark Griswold in "Christmas Vacation" in the scene where he keeps messing with the Christmas lights and can't get them on, then can't get them on again. I was jumping in and out of my car like a dunce.

Top to bottom, hids (and the parentheses halos), DRLs, and fogs are on bottom.

Thanks, my friend.

One more question. If I leave my lights on auto and it is daytime, do the halos go on with the DRLs?

Nope. In "auto" during the day only the DRL lights are on. (The middle ones.)

I think you get what you are trying to achieve in the first post, if you turn the headlight switch to "auto" and then press "in" the circle button to the right of the headlight switch once.

No sir. As I said in first post, turn on halos (one click to right from auto), then push fog light button, then turn back to auto (1 click to left from halo). At that point all 3 lights will light provided its not too dark outside.
