I drove my Camaro once in the snow and never again. I didn't mean to as the weather called for flurries and we got 4" and I had to get home. I had ZERO traction, I might as well have been running slicks. No matter what I did I could not physically get the car above 10mph. Any slight change in grade would have my tires slipping when idling in 2nd gear. My one tire fire 2wd s10 was better than this and that has NO weight over the rear end and has been stuck in my own driveway several times.

its all about the tires. with that said I took mine out last year and cracked my front lip... so that was my "Never again" thread.

Luckily the curb kept my rear end from sliding into telephone poles trash cans and mailboxes.

Summer only tires will do that to you. They are not designed to be used in lower temperatures, much less 4" of snow.

i had summer tires on my replica wheels and though i was gonna die lol. I then switched over to my heritage wheels and its 100X better but i do slip once in a while.

Knock on wood here.....no issues with the pirelli ice and snow tires.....night and day from the summer tires

I'd go with some Blizzak's for winter.

I DD my car with 500+ HP and 4.10 gears and no issue. We just got slammed in Chicago with 5-6 inches and single digit temps. No major issues.

Summer tires in winter is a very bad idea. They will harden in cold temps and will basically become a slick with zero traction. If you cannot afford winter tires, at least try and get some all season tires which will offer better traction in winter.

Just got mine, but all the snow melted so I can still drive the Camaro.

I took mine all over the place last week with 3+ inches of snow with it still snowing and it drove great! I put on a set of Hankook IceBear W300 tires when winter started and I didn't have a problem at all. Winter tires FTW!

The last time I drove a 4x2 car in the snow I barely made in into my down hill driveway and while I was waiting for the garage door to open my car slid into the "tin" garage door buckling it and causing it to make loud popping sounds when I open and close it now. Since then I only drive an older Subaru Impreza or a 4x4 truck in the snow. A new 16'x7' garage door costs around $850 + install.

I have Blizzaks on mine and have had no issues driving around in the snow. I really had to step on the gas to even begin to slide the back end around just to see what my limits were

Winter tires are the way to go. Rolling on blizzaks and they even hold traction on ice. I tried with my summer tires before and didn't even make it out of my driveway.
