Just wondering, what kind of safety measures did your car have on at the time it was stolen?

Thanks.

Wow sorry about that, how did someone manage stealing it? Like others said they will probably strip the car of anything they can that has value. Hopefully you can get them punished.

Where was it parked?
How long was it parked there?
Time of day?
Curious to the situation and when it happened, please let us know.

Camaros are very easy to steal. The factory alarm and OnStar does nothing to slow thieves down. In some cases, it actually helps them. In other instances, the car is simply towed away.

Sorry for your loss. All the Camaros being stolen in the bay are mainly by the same ring of car thieves. Taking the v8s to Oakland, stripping them in someone's back yard, leaving just the shell. Unfortunately it will turn up tomorrow or the day after on blocks in the streets of Oakland.

Everyone reading this that lives in the bay area California, protect your investment, get another form of aftermarket security. Onstar and the stock alarm is USELESS! Get a wheel club, a tire claw, pager alarm, install a theft deterrent like a kill switch or Ravelco, and GPS. Install all these things.

**** Man!!! I feel for you Jason. Mine was stolen from hayward couple months ago.
We talked with an Auto Task Force Agent, his advise: get an aftermarket alarm (onstar is crap)

It was parked in a covered carport at the back of my complex. That's the key part, there is no way to see my car from the street. So either somebody saw me driving around and followed me into the complex or someone that lives at the complex was involved.

My wife saw the car at 9:00 pm last night while she was walking our dogs. I went out at 6:45 this morning to leave for work and she was gone.

Yep, next time I will invest in something that provides more security. Unfortunately, most people need to be bitten once before seeing the light.

I've heard numbers like 30 to 40 a week. I wonder how long until our insurance rates start to go up because of this.

Sorry for your loss. Sounds like you were targeted. I think most are. I have resolved not to use my car near the bay area period. I would kill switch any V8 Camaro in the bay.
