Im really excited about getting my 2LT/RS ... The order code now is at 3400, this means its being built as we speak. Hopefully it will be about 2 weeks until I get my hands on it.

How much were they going to charge you for the 1SS as opposed to the LT?
I, too, am curious as I am in a similar debate... how much more would they charge?

well, to get all what the 2LT has, you have to get a 2SS so with extra tax and all, about 8K ... Not worth it to me, for a non-functional front end scoop and a V8 ... I guess having that power would get old and then our left with a car that is still great but drinks gas a little more and a higher car payment. Where as the 2LT has all what the 2SS has but the V8, same great looks and ride. The money saved can go towards modifications and such.

Now the difference in price for the 2LT and the 1SS is about 5K, but remember that is without the RS package and all the standard goodies. FOr the life of me, I can not see anybody just buying the 1SS, I mean if you are going to get an SS, go all the way. As for me, I think I went towards the fun and more affordable choice. The 2LT/RS has it all but the V8. I can live with that and sleep at night. Besides, with a little tweaking, I can get that puppy up in HP.

Would you rather have a fully loaded 2LT/RS with all the bells and whistles or a base 1SS with none of the extras?

SO the only thing that I can think of is the V8, but is that worth the extra $$ and then lose out on all the nice cool looks of the RS package and mp3/remote start and all that jazz ...

My budget could have 1 or the other, so I made my choice to be a fully loaded 2LT/RS .... did I make the right choice?
Nope - should have gone with the motor!

I think that is why i kept my 99 grand am for so long then any other car i have owned 10 years to be exact. It was fun to drive but it wasnt too bad on gas either. I have had motors from 6.6 litres and in many other v8 trims but always seem to sell them. This 2LT RS is just perfect for a daily drive. Its fun as hell to drive, good on gas/insurance and sick looking. I can see myself owning this car forever thats why i wanted to buy it brand new.

The trim level was the easiest of all choices to make. Didn't consider the 2LT for a second. It was gonna be the 1SS or nothing at all. I'm very happy with my bare-bones 1SS.

1SS, that is what I got. Not even a second thought about getting the V6, plus down the road that V8 Camaro is going to hold it's value a hell of a lot better than any V6 Camaro, stripped, or fully loaded with RS, etc

I thinks it's like what some others have said on this question. It depends on what the individual wants. A DD or a toy. For me I am getting a Toy. Ordered 9/21/09. Also I hope when getting quotes for Insurance shopping a round is a must.

defenatelly 2LT

fully loaded 2LT better than 1SS for sure also you will use 87 octane and a cadillac engine,
