I just wrote the same question on the South Jersey sub forum sight. I live in an area where they really enforce the law about tinting. I had a vision for my victory red 2SS and it involved tinting. However I found out that Jersey law makes it impossible for a uniform tint.
As to your question..ECS of Cream Ridge,NJ send there customers to a guy in S Jersey. According to ECS (East Coast Supercharging) this guy is good. $200.00 covers the tint, although Im not sure if that includes your windshield. Its my opinion that doing your front wind shield will really rais a red flag . Are you doing the windshield in order to make everything uniform therefor looking like it came that way from the factory ?

Just had mine done at custom concepts in Montclair the guy seems like he knows what he's doing I was able to watch him since it's a small shop. He says he covers all his work lifetime. Cost me 150 for the 5 windows and 40 for the front strip on top.
He's also very flexible on hours he did mine at 9 pm was there till 11:00.

Although there are still a lot of small circles in the tint not really bubbles he said they will go away in a few days it's just the water trapped in there and if it was summer they would have been gone already.

I'll post again once everything clears up.

Auto Image - they have several locations in NJ. Got mine done at the Rte 18 shop. That's where I get all my 'stuff' done.

Any trouble from Jersey police ?

Have any of you encountered any trouble from the jersey police over the tinting ? Down here in the MullicaHill, Swedesboro,Logan Twp area of S Jersey, it's very hard to get away with anything.

One thing you notice in NJ, and I'm sure in all states, there are certain areas where they are really strict on the letter of the law. Your area seems like one - South Amboy is another... The East Brunswick and South River Police have been pretty cool with me so far. Haven't encountered any troopers yet tho....

Kind of like 'luck of the draw'.

I myself dont have tints but I have a few friends that do. Most of them went to auto image. My friend got all his windows except for front windshield 20% and they charged him $150 for it and you can get a lifetime warranty for an extra $50.

As for the police it all depends on the cop who sees you with them. Two friends of mine have same tints as mentioned above. One drives an 09 scion tc with a loud fart cannon on it and he has never been pulled over for his tints.
Another friend of mine has tints on his 2011 blacked out nissan altima and he has been pulled over 9 times with 5 tickets just for his tints.

with 35% tint the police shouldn't bother you its not that dark. as far as pricing do you home work on the the type of film they use. cheaper the film cheaper the price. there are some great films out there but they are a little more money than the rest. so do your home work and done be afraid to pay between 150-200 if there using the right kind of film

Thanks guys. I just sunk a ton of money into my engine and you know I'm gonna want to play with those upgrades and see what they can do. I don't need another red flag to attract the police. Guess I'm just going to have to do without the tint. Thanks for your opinions, you probably saved me alott of hassle.
