Wait for the 14 GT3. Straight legend out of the gate. 143k buys that. No excuses from that brand. Just performance. 14 GT3 is on my list.

The 997 GT3 and the ZL1 track time should be relatively the same. Stock vs stock. I wouldn't be surprise if the zl1 pass a gt3. Saying that I still want a 997 gt3 rs but for now happy with the camaro.

Just sold a 2011 GT3RS (white w/red) I owned since new.... it literally is a race car for the street and drives like nothing out there. (very analog and gives back what you put into it)....although at 150K new I can only see the 991 gen of this be clear of 200K.

Having had a 04 and 08 both tt and bought new I can tell u I like P cars, fit and finish, level of service etc but I will now pick a car like the zl1 or zr1 because IMHO u cannot beat good old "Detroit Iron" with a big v8, the sound, smell, torque etc.So depending on the model of P car chosen (and all wheel drive) u may be a few tenths of a second faster or slower ---to which I say BIG DEAL.

The 10/11 997.2 GT3RS was even a step above the regular GT3, considering lighter, more HP, widebody car front and rear (which was a 1st for that car).... very very different. Yep, the new GT3RS...whenever they get it out there will base for probably 150K and with any form of options (typically you are talking 15-20K in them)..... very very close to 200K.

I have told many many people, if you ever want to hop into a car that made you feel like you were "connected" to the powertrain and the road for sight, sound and feel..... The GT3RS was the one.

I have to say my zl1 was still hanging right in there for 4000 lbs, Was able to pass a lot of cars out there. My friends gt3 is set up for the track, he trailors the car to all different tracks, Those hoosier tires alone made a huge difference, The brakes on it where awesome, Have to say people out at the track loved the look of the zl1.

Well yes the GT3 is a great car,but you cant beat under 2000lbs and a extra almost 100hp over stock, check out our little toy only one of 5 in the u.s built this way that we have been told of. It that went back to england to be built as a factory race car, came with no a/c or carpet etc.had to have a/c installed..this thing will give you a go cart feel when ever you want, lol but the sad thing is I can not drive it,so my dad enjoys it..

Gt3rs is definately a great car. There are so many of them here locally that they are like civics at a track day. But I must say that the two best car I have driven at track would be my 260 hp lotuse elise on ohlins and the ferrari 458. They have the best feel all around but for time attack would be a modified r35 gtr hands down.
