Yeah Nightfall, these cooler weather conditions are good for our ZL1s and mine has the same problem as yours does. It’s amazing to me how I can zip thru the rpms now with the Roto-Fab as compared to the factory intake!

It's finally getting cooler down here. I'll tell ya, when it gets down to 70 degrees and dry, the engine feels like it's got 50 more hp.

Thanks.
It makes no difference... they are all bound by MAP pricing.

Phastek Performance stocks them and a great place to order from.

Summit racing has good pricing too with free shipping! That’s where I bought mine and a set of Race Ramps that make changing the oil on the ZL1 much easier now.

That’s about perfect weather there. Not too hard to get heat in the tires & putting down plenty of power.

It is finally starting to cool here in Arizona also...SC taking deep breathes of cold air...LOL

After a summer of record number of days at 110 or hotter...we are welcoming the nice weather finally.

See here in Arizona our summer is like the North's winter. That is when my "FUN" car only gets driven every 2-3 weeks just to keep the fluids moving, battery charged and gaskets from drying out. Oh yeah and flush some fresh fuel through it...but it makes no sense for us to go out and romp on our forced induced cars when it is 110 degrees outside...all they do is heat soak.

Installed the RF CAI yesterday. Very nice piece. Excellent fit and finish. Instructions were very clear.

Glad I didn't stay with my original decision to not do it. I know it does little for the SS, but different story on the ZL1. I know seat of the pants is not reliable, but, be that as it may, we all know the characteristics and personality of our engines. There is no question that the car runs better. It's more responsive and pulls a little harder. It's noticeable.

I couldn’t agree with you more Mal! The Roto-Fab made a believer out of me once I got it installed on the car!

BTW, I went with the oiled filter based on Roto Fab’s recommendation. I’ve used many cloth filters over my 45 years of motorcycles and they were always oiled, for more effective filtering. Cleaning and oiling is very simple and should be very infrequent.

Yes it does look good Mike! The throttle response is much better though in my case and the lag is not as bad now either. Oh and the s/c screams louder too at full throttle!

My experience as well. Throttle response is definitely better. Although it's in the 60's today, the car has never broken loose in 2nd gear the way it did this morning.
