At 77 MPH approximately 2000 RPM my oil pressure is at 2.8 Bar and it’s been that way since it was new.

Already got everything on order, Redline 5w-30 and Wix 57060XP. Ordered it before I saw your post, but that filter you mentioned seems quite a bit larger than the one I found to be for a ZL1. Unfortunately, I already threw away the old filter, but will be looking at the next one on Thursday. Everything is arriving on Wednesday. I don't really drive my car on the weekdays, but already did quite a bit of WOT pulls this weekend, so if anything, the filter will show if anything is out of the ordinary.
I use the 57060XP. To me, the other one is too long. A lot of CTS-V guys run the long one, but I didn't want to mess with the under tray, because we don't have as much room. I measured, and for my eye, it hung too far down.

What is up with the BAR? Just PSI already...

If you hit the rev limiter while accelerating then you're fine. its designed to stop you over reving the engine. The time an engine gets fried is when you money downshift and rev up to like 10k RPM. Like doing 100MPH and downshift to 2nd by mistake.
My oil pressure is 30 idle, 40-50 cold, and if its hot, then it can drop down into the 20s. Been that way for 175000 miles.

If you can tell us how to get the ZL1 to report in psi instead of bar, that'd be great. (Of course you can change it in logging software, but it'd be nice to be able to change it on the dash.)

Mine is at 3.1 Bar(45.57psi) at 2100 rpm.

Yeah, I don't feel like modifying the under tray to make it fit. Is there any benefit to using a larger one?

That's just how it reads out on my dash, haha.

Mine seems to be in-line with yours, or a bit higher, but I do have a Melling 10355. From what I understand, it is the OEM replacement from them. I used the stock spring that it came with, so I'm not sure if its supposed to be higher if I didn't change out the spring or shim it.

More filter media for better filtration and a longer change interval is the normal response, but I believe it depends on the surface area of filtration inside the filter. A longer filter doesn't necessarily mean more surface area in all cases. Plus, you have to make sure the filter bypass pressure is the same or close to the same as stock. In our case, the darn thing hangs down so low, I stopped my investigation there. LOL.

On the Melling, it runs a little higher pressure than the stock LSA/DOD pump.

After all your guy's help, I think I was just being paranoid. I seem to be in-line or higher, when comparing to other ZL1's. Thanks for putting me at ease.

Thanks! I really do like my headlights, but wish they were better quality. Projectors could be better, might switch them out with some better ones. As for the LED accent, the material they used has a slight blue/lavender hue to it, I thought it would have been white. When taking pictures, it looks a lot more white than IRL. When/if they come out with better ones, I'll get them, these will do for now. They made ones for Non-ZL1 '14-'15, those look WAY nicer, I'll see if I can find a pic of those, and take a pic of mine for you to compare and see what I mean.

Although, I do like the looks of the 6th Gen Style Tails for our cars, I didn't want to make it too much like a 6th Gen, I like our tail lights too.

I tried taking a picture of the LED Accents on, but they just show up white in the pic, when they have a slight blue/lavender hue to it. You can kinda see the color difference in the pics between the ones I have, and the ones for the Non-ZL1 crowd. I saw them at a Shift Sector event and thought they were for sure in the $1k+ range, but they're only around $400 or so. Wish mine were as good a quality as those.

I'll find out today! Hope you're wrong.

It was my first Oil Change since installing the CHE Trunnion kit.

The glitter is caused by the oil filter running in bypass mode a lot. What weight oil are you using? What oil filter?

In my drag car with a old school BBC, I use to see tons of glitter in the oil. I was using a Moroso or K&N filter. Especially tons of gold glitter whenever putting in new rockers or PRs. Here was the main problem I finally figured out - too thick oil causing way too much filter bypass time. I was using 20w50 and a racing filter - but those filters have a bypass valve.

I went down a little in viscosity to a 10w40 racing oil, and switched to a WIX racing filter with no bypass. Glitter stopped instantly. Even with a brand new rocker or two there will be zero glitter. The non bypass filter is now catching it all.

Now, you can't use a WIX racing filter on the street. Especially on an OE engine with tight bearings. But you can use a WIX XP, the right oil weight for your application/use/ambient.... and don't romp WOT until the oil temp equals engine temp.

Visibly seeing anything in the oil means way too much filter bypass time. Filters filter in microns not visible to the eye. Even a racing filter with larger micron media gets out all the visible flecks.

I hope so too... after my trunion install all oil was normal to the look. Didn't do an analysis.
