Delete mag ride

Hey, searched the forum and not finding anything. Has anyone done a mag ride delete and knows the resistor values needed to trick the computer? I know there are lots available that do this plug and play but they are ridiculously expensive for 8 resistors. I need to delete the shocks/struts and the ride height sensors. I cannot incorporate these in my project so I want to trick the computer so I don't have annoying DIC messages. Thanks.

I don’t have an answer. Years ago I wanted to go to coilovers and got in a conversation with the president of afe and mentioned that his mag delete was expensive and he said he had a set that for some reason he couldn’t sell and he would let me have them for cheap. That was three years ago and next week I’m doing my 15” conversion and will finally use them. I also came across TEC2 which you can use found it on YouTube. I heard you can go to a dealer and get it turned off? And of course phasetek sells them.

Godzl1a you have tried the 2.7 OHM resistors with success? When I measure my struts I get 1.4 OHM.

I would give this a try or the 100watt unit linked above if this burned out:

I also need to bypass the ride height sensors as well...just need to determine the voltage output at normal ride height and what resistor will output that voltage from the 5v reference

They fail often and are very expensive to replace.

They fail often and are very expensive to replace. Although with new warranty from AC Delco I would consider keeping them.

The reason I need to delete the Mag Ride is because i'm not smart enough to retrofit it into a 69 Camaro AME chassis....My project is retrofitting everything from a 13 ZL1 into a 69 body. Some things I just can't retrofit like the MAG Ride, so I need to "Fool" the computer that it is still there otherwise it causes issues with drivability and an annoying DIC warning and 85MPH max speed whenever MAG ride is in a fault.

I think you can program the computer to higher speed than 85, but you will still get the warning light

Ill have to check my hpt file and get back to you

Resistors are color coded. If you can find a way to see what's in the factory wiring you can find the resistor values. Lots of information on resistor color codes out there.
