Clunk from front brake calipers?

New owner of a 2018 ZL1 1LE. Sometimes when I'm pulling out of my garage or anywhere for that matter, when I'm driving slow maybe 5-10mph, I hear a clunk noise when I push on the brake pedal. Anyone have this issue? If so is this normal? TIA!

Check torque of caliper bolts, make sure pads are correct size, anti-rattle spring, and pins are properly seated, torque bridge bolt, then torque wheel lugs?

Ok ill keep that in mind and have the tech at the chevy dealer check it out for me when I bring it in for fluid changes. Thanks for the advice.

Something is loose.

Check all the things.

Seriously, check the lugs, calipers, suspension components, steering links, strut tower... all the things.

Often that's an indication that one of the bracket bolts that holds the caliper is loose or missing. If its completely backed out (top or bottom bolt), you might even see the caliper rotate slightly CW or CCW.

Have someone stand outside your car and watch while you move slowly forward & brake. Then backward and brake. Look at one wheel at a time. You'll either visibly see or hear where the clunk is coming from.

Report back. Good luck!

I checked the caliper bolts and they were torqued to spec. calipers look ok. pads are solid in place. don't know what else it could be causing the clunking noise. still does it. will have the dealer check it out when i take it in. will be soon. thanks.

Agreed. Being this is a 2018 (previously owned?) the owner could of stripped off aftermarket parts in a "rush" and put back to OEM, or moved the camber adjustment etc... anything. Something IS loose. Standing by for what is found. Best of luck narrowing it down!!
