Findley Auto Gruop

If your in the Kingman, Az. area looking for the new camaro I would recommend avoiding Findley Chevrolet. I spoke to the sales manager and told me they intended to sell the camaro at least 5% over MSRP. He told me they would take a $10,000.00 non-refundable deposit and pre-order the vehicle I wanted. He further told me he expected the rest of the dealerships in Az. to do the same thing. Findley is a large auto group that sell domestic and foreign vehicles and have dealerships around the Az. area. Hope this helps.

I've already told my story about a Camaro at $120K elsewhere. However, with the large number of military personnel in the region where I live, I can safely expect not to get a good deal if I attempt to buy the Camaro locally. Over half of the local dealers mark up the Malibu, vs. no such markups on Camrys or Accords.

I'm betting on all variants coming out at the same time. Yes there will be over MSRP due to the furor that's been running rampant since the concept was shown. Probably won't last more than 6 months. I just hope my 88 GMC van will hold out til the ragtop rage dies down. I refuse to pay MSRP let alone MSRP plus. If I have to wait awhile so be it. So far it's looking like a metallic red V6 in RS trim with the smallest wheels that are chrome or polished. Mama says "nice cars have to look and sound good". That means sweet pipes and shiny wheels. A cool car with crappy wheels is a crappy car even if it cost $300K!

Can any all knowing people like Fbodfather answer this?

When pricing and options are released will the build your own option be available on the Chevy website right away so we can figure out our prices? Or will we have to depend on the dealers to order the options we want?

I work at a Chevrolet dealership in Alberta Canada and here we have something called the Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council which won't allow us by law to sell over MSRP... the Camaro will begin production in Febuary of 2009. There will not be much for cash incentives on this vehicle and because of the high pre-orders already being accepted, chances are you will not see alot land that have not already been sold...

Pre-orders being accepted? Aren't you looking for the BS thread?

Hmm, if nobody around here wants to give me a deal I might make a trip out west to get my new Camaro. And you don't have PST out there either, do you? That would cover the cost of the trip and then some . . .

Ed Morse Sawgrass Auto Mall in Sunrise, FL screwed the heck outta me on what was my 2009 Corvette. Mega long story short, gave C6 back after three days. These guys screwed me on the trades (2), and wacked again in financing. Lyed about terms, etc., etc.

Sell any trades privately first, and get your financing somewhere reputable before going to the dealer. They wanted to wack me to death in this economy on a Covette design that's been around a few years. These dirtbags are sure going to be looking to wack Camaro buyers.

My car plans are on hold now. Maybe a Corvette, maybe a Camaro SS, that's my full list. Just don't let them get you on trades or financing, on top of MSRP prices at Camaro launch.

Same here in Orlando brother...we have two very large dealerships and one was Bill Heard, I feel absolutely no remorse for those guys ..they were crooks and investigated by Feds on numerous occasions. The problem now however, I only have one dealership within a 30-40 mile range and they were just as bad. Wanted 21-22,000 for the inline 4 manual colorado pick up truck...this was back 6 years ago when the "economy scare" wasn't not existent and gas was below 2 bucks.....I am still contemplating a trip up north to Scotty

No we do not have PST here however bringing the vehicle back to Niagra you would have to pay the PST but I have delivered vehicles to people out of province many times and we do cut you a cheque to apply to the PST..

Thanks for sharing my misery . One option may be to order from online dealers. Most people on Corvette Forum order from forum sponsoring dealers. No BS, no crookery. But, no service, either. I used to work at a Chevy dealer, and when there was a serious problem, the first question was always "Where did they buy the car"? I don't know what to do.

Actually, my plan is to:

1. Sell my two trades first.

2. Pay down some credit cards to get a better loan when my credit score keeps going up (already rising). GMAC lets the dealer rip you off as hard as they want.

3. Negotiate new car in writing, then get outside bank loan check, so the dealer can't screw me on financing APR.

I read about Bill Heard - Attorney General's Office had $50 Million in fines pending for deceptive advertising and practices. Good riddens...

We'll figure this out.
