I don't believe a darn word. Extemely speculative. Pure guessing. Even IF it is a Camaro underneath, I don't care, because the sheetmetal is so homely. I'll wait patiently for my 500HP Rock And Roll Machine.

As far as I know the GTO's last production year was '06, could be wrong though.

If this is the camaro mule, it's probably for powertrain calibration (to give the guys in NA some time to play). Usually you don't get much chassis work until they are running with more representative cars (the ones we see with all the camo). How big were the tailpipes on the G8 concept?

Don't think that's a GTO at all...

It is the 2007 NEW GM / Holden world platform chassis code VE, aka ZETA, aka Commodore, aka G8, aka Holden Ute, aka Chevy Camaro, etc...

The SS badges indicate a higher trim / performance Commodore. The platform has been engineered to be adjustable in length while relatively fixed in width. You can see more detail in the suspension design on our website.

http://www.peddersusa.com/Camaro_2009.htm

If you love or hate the look of the new Camaro, it won't matter once you drive it. The platform is nothing short or excellent. The drive will knock your socks off. As far as engines, think about this. GM can fit a moderately priced Camaro with a 300 HP six cylinder - and have an excellent car. The last time I checked, GM also ha a couple of V8s with a bit more HP
