Rear SS Brakes
Pretty self explanatory... I have a 2LT/RS and want to know what goes in to converting the rear end to the SS quad piston calipers.

You'll need the calipers, rotors, and pads of course but think you'll need the dust shields for a SS car because they obviously different and brake line, after that it should be pretty straight forward.

You actually can use your original rear dust shields, but you'd have to trim the lip off since the new rotor is quite a bit bigger. And just so you know, there is a difference in bore size between the v6 and v8 master cylinder, probably won't make a huge difference, but it's something to think about.

Right on the money. Trim the lip about 1/4" and its golden. THen get hoses (Stainless steel braided preferred). As for the MC, when i did the conversion, i stuck with the V6 MC at first. It just didnt feel firm like i had hoped. Swapped over to the SS MC...boom. There we go. Perfect braking now.
