I did it this way cause I received a fix it ticket.....

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73549

I also got small black tubing and slit it to wrap around the back so it would not scratch my paint

I bought the show n go remote plate holder that fits under the bumper and flips up if needed. It usually is hidden, unless I would get pulled over then I would remotely flip it up (I have passed many many police cars, city, county and state and never yet been stopped...knock on wood). If I did get stopped I would remotely flip it up and say "what? I had one I hope it didn't fall off" he will look and there it is plain as day.

I have mine on passenger side under bumper.

The price is $142.95 on amazon, but well worth it!!!!

Or you can get the manual one for $42.95 on amazon also

it is made by Altec Products

OB, Brother! As bad as all front plates look, to me, the best is the silly bracket that came with the car. There are several threads on how to mount it without drilling. Keep it in the short grass!

Send a message via Yahoo to d69chris
I would be worried about vibration and wearing the paint off nose.

I know I asked for an opinion but WOW

You know.. all I have read on this site is how supportive & great everyone is...
Here is the deal & then I am done with this thread... I DO NOT LIKE HAVING A FRONT PLATE ON MY CAR!!!
It may look like a "buck tooth car" & i may be "disrespecting" a CAR..
Bottom line is.. I need to have a plate on the front & that is that..
This was a cheap & easy fix until I can do something else.. I have been a long time member on several other forums & have never had so many other forum member be so negative about something so stupid..
Pretty sure I won't take it off & accept the ticket because a bunch of people I have never met think it makes MY CAR less attractive, cheap, or whatever other thing you can say...

My boss noticed I put the plate on & thanked me for installing it quickly..
(he knew I didn't want to)
Again.. this is my work car... not a show car.. not a garage queen...
Loved the car... but after this thread.. thinking I should have looked closer at the CTS-V or a Corvette...

Thanks for the comments that didn't attack me or my decision & understood where I was coming from...

Because that's how specs are written and have been for a long time. Shall carry's much more weight than will. I thought it was weird as hell the first time I read a performance spec at work that first time and it was just full of "shalls"

Par- I thought those comments from others were on the funny side versus rude. Asking for comments on front plates will always bring out some interesting comments.

Remember, worry about your next beer and forget the rest!

It is just a license plate. Put the factory one on once and forget about it. I really do not want to be worrying about getting a ticket or having to pay a ticket. Good grief!!

Don't like it off to the side. Definitely center it.
I am in MD and they require front tag. Never put one on my Vette and never had a problem. However, word is the po po south of Baltimore and the state boys are having a field day pulling Camaro's over. Before I bought mine, a friend was pulled over twice in couple of months. So I put one on, but here's what I did.. In MD the letters are black. I bought a few black wire ties, drilled a few holes in the letters, and bent the tag to conform to the lower bumper / grill. Pulled the ties through the letters and grill, secured ...whala... a nice neat tag for the price of a pack of wire ties (and you can't notice the ties).

Jesus Christ...what's the big deal?! If your state law requires that you have front plates on your car, guess what? YOU PUT FRONT PLATES ON YOUR CAR!!!

Try being grown up about this.
