Intake, headers and exhaust can be a "quick fix". And also fairly inexpensive depening on what your finances are like. Everyone's different..

IMHO you don't really need to worry about losing warranty on your exhaust system. I mean the engine is what you really want covered anyway, and adding a bolt on exhaust cat back or axel back won't damage an engine.

Besides there are plenty of dealers who can do the install for you, and won't screw you on the warranty, as long as they have it on record that the install was done at their facility.

Now if you are adding supercharger or tuning the car, than you should worry about warranty issues.

Actually, in my opinion, Magnaflows seem to be some of the least raspy systems, along with a few others.

A catback represents a replacement system from the catalytic converters all the way back to the tips of your mufflers and is usually more expensive than an axle-back exhaust because it contains much more piping (more materials)

An axle back is usually just a muffler replacement while still using factory piping.

If you havent yet, I'd recommend checking out my exhaust examples thread sticky and take your time going through if your interested in finding something. A good sound system on your PC or decent headphones are a good help also.

Would it be best to gradually install mods over time, or just add them all at once? Would it make a difference?

If I had the money I'd do all the mods at once but since I don't it's kind of exciting installing one mod every month or so. You'll have a bigger appreciation for your next mod.

Midpipes are only for long tube headers, correct? I'm looking at getting JBA shorty headers and Corsa cat-backs. Would I need anything else for a complete exhaust setup?
