The grey stripe looks really bad. Its not just the light. Swing and a miss on that one. Should have looked like carbon fiber to match the hood.

I'm starting to not really care much. At this point, to me it's starting to be one of those deals where they want to wow you with a car that you already KNOW is on QC and production hold for an apparent major issue, and nobody knows why because they won't tell you. And then they want to entice you to go and buy one? Kinda getting a bit crass IMO.
If I were GM, I wouldn't put the ZL1 out there like that just yet. Not until they resolve the issue. It's ok I guess for someone that probably will never buy one, but it's kind of insulting to those that are waiting. JMO.

I'm not sure what they are having issues with when Only 30% of the drivetrain had to be re-done..... 98% of the car is the same as the other 5th Gen Camaros...

Thank you for posting the IOM ZL1 pics. I think that's the first one I have seen with the polished wheels. I think the SSX rims look better on that color, and yeah that grey strip could have been better designed. Nice color, looks a bit bright and I'm guessing its because of the lighting in the room.

I got the gray stripe, my z will be ashen gray, I bet it'll still look good. Now, will it match the insert, that's yet to be seen in normal light

40% of the car is new parts. The steering is electric, magnetic ride, lots of sw, engine, rear diff, tranny parts, etc etc etc.
So 98% is same is simply incorrect. |
