look at exhaust videos that are similar to your desired setup. that helped choose. or go the shop doing the work and hear a similar car.

Cam: I understand the basics of how things work. There are a few things I am unsure of. First of all I should say she is a daily driver. BUT, I love the aggressive sound of a big cam, and I want a sizable jump in power. As I understand things I need to change at a min. the springs and push rods. Is there a good package out there that has everything I need?
Thanks
Best advice you could get would be from the person you choose to tune it. The tuner will be able to tune what he feels is the best possible package to fit YOUR needs/wants. I have a pretty aggressive cam that is for boost(no boost yet) and it chops REAL hard but since I'm manual, its not that bad to drive daily. Was a custom grind by my tuner. We built a good relationship and he understood my requests. It sucks at lower rpms with the bucking but as long as your tuner is comfortable with tuning the cam, youll learn how to drive it. Good luck with your quest.

Honestly your going about mods ass backwards. Gear is what makes these cars work. Cam is great but supporting mods to the cam in a heavy car should be priority. If your just wanting sound then cam away..... Performance gain you want gear (lighter clutch)

Do you have a cold air intake already as well? You would really want that along with headers to make sure you are getting good gains out of your cam.

There are many options out there. If you want a sizeable cam with good lope, make sure that you have a good shop lined up to tune it for you (in person or mail order etc). The tuning will make or break the driveability of a cammed car.

Our Phoenix cam (link) is a very popular LS3 cam. It's about as big as we like to go for a street cam - it's still very driveable, but has great sound. Usually with intake/headers it will do about 470-480rwhp in an LS3 Camaro.

We also sell a complete cam kit to go along with the install (link). It includes what you need; all gaskets, pushrods, timing chain, chain damper, crank bolt, springs, etc.

I would also do a new oil pump (link). Not only is it an upgrade, but several stock LS3 pumps have had issues with the oil pressure relief valve sticking open, leaving you with minimal oil pressure and possibly doing bottom end damage.

Here's what the idle sounds like for this particular cam

I'll second this cause I went straight to big cam and heads and although the mph increased a good amount i cant get out of the whole haha i only gained .3 on my ET on my BEST pass.

Swapping to 4.10s in my M6 made a lot more difference in terms of "feeling a difference" than installing the cam did. I echo the sentiment that doing gears before the engine upgrades is the way to go.

In the end you need everything LOL, hell I am going from 3.91 gears to 4.10 because thats all we can stuff in there. These cars need gears, headers and a cam to go quick. As Lazer said, the light cluth obviously will free up wasted power but a lot of people would probably not like the character of them. I went with a LT1-S clutch, it is not light but it does have the same moment of interia as running an aluminum flywheel.
