replacing brakes on 01 SS

hi everyone,

new to this forum just had a quick question...
i just got my Camaro back from the shop after 2 months
i was hit by a negligent driver on the rear passenger side.
the vehicle made contact with my rear right wheel and after repairs ( everything else checked out fine) my rear brake squeaks heavily. also at low acceleration there is a faint noise coming from that rear right brake.

i've never replaced the brakes and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations?
i would be interested in attempting to do it on my own with help from my brother and uncle, or would it be better to take it somewhere?
my experiences with having repairs done by my chevy dealer is it's outrageous what they charge these days...

Id say put her on jack stands take off the rear wheels and let the wheels spin at idle in drive (assuming its a A4) then you should be able to pinpoint where the noise is coming from. Sounds to me like the abuntment bracket may be ceased. Its happened to me twice in 4 years with the front brakes. that would be the first thing I'd check. If you need to replace the calipers its pretty much straight forward. pick up a haines manual, at autozone, thats how I learned!
