SLP headers and exhaust

Hey guys, so I have my Camaro setup with a Borla exhaust from the previous car owner. The problem I have is it's too quiet for me. I was looking at the SLP 1-3/4" long tube headers with assembly along with SLP loudmouth axle back with 4" tips. Do any of you have this exhaust setup or have any opinions about it?

Check the stickies up top, I believe there are some for the SLP set up.

No matter which brand LTH, why go with 1 3/4? Much better flow from 1 7/8 or 2".

Yeah agreed......... 1 3/4" is a decent upgrade from stock, but a 1 7/8 or 2" is much better for the same money.

I would do headers first because it gets a huge bump in sound volume with it. The muffler delete with headers (which is what I have) is obnoxiously loud and raspy

Cool, thanks for the feedback. Will be looking into those 2" for sure. What do you guys think of the SLP brand in general? Any other brands you think are better then SLP or does it not matter at all?

Depends on your monetary goals really. How much do you want to spend for bragging rights of a particular brand under the hood? You can get a set of Speed Engineering 1 7/8" LT's with off road connection pipes and O2 sensor extensions for $355 to your door. Plenty of us here have used them with great success. Best header for the money bar none IMO. Plenty of others will say they are junk just because they're made overseas etc. They will say to get Stainless Power (overseas made) or Stainless works. They are good headers too in their own right, but for over double/triple the cost? Not worth it IMO. Texas Speed is another cheaper brand, but they are about $100 more than the SE headers. It's your money though so ultimately, it's up to you on where/how you wanna spend it.

Unless you have Major Horsepower mods going with 2" headers will rob your low end a great deal. I would go with 7/8 if you don't have a cam or supercharger. The 3/4 are good for the low end. (Light to light)

Alright, thanks for the feedback guys! I am thinking about getting a supercharger, but for now i'm just going to go with the 1 7/8" until then.

Do you have cats? I just came from LT's w/o cats and a complete muffler delete and had to change it cuz it was too loud and raspy. Next I'm thinking about just adding cats but keeping the muffler delete

This is incorrect. Every single dyno graph I have seen of the 3 sizes, the bigger makes more power everywhere. 1 7/8" lose nothing to 1 3/4" and 2" lose nothing to the 1 7/8". 2" make the most power and don't lose any power anywhere. Fitment is tight, but this is really the only issue with them.
