Magnaflow Comp Series axle back video

I installed the Magnaflow Comp Series (part # 16582). I have another thread that discusses the Magnaflow Quality Control and instruction issues here:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...77#post1840077

However, it does sound awesome! It's rain/snowing here in Denver, so I just went around the block, so I can't speak to drone at this time. But man it sounds mean up to 30mph!

What's that dripping? Just moisture from the rainy day?

Have you had time to get a good sense of the AFM kick in yet?

That's actually WD40 dripping. I soaked the crap out of the pipes so I could move them around easily to get a good fit. I have the M6, so can't speak to the AFM.

Magnaflow Quality and Fit is Superior

I just installed my Magnaflow 16582 "axle-back" last night. Wow. I took off a Cherry Bomb Extreme axle back to replace it with this system. The quality of the Magnaflow is soooo much better than the Cherry Bomb system (apart from the Magnaflow being stainless and the Cherry Bomb system being aluminized steel). I didn't have to bend one single hanger to get it to fit.

To get the Cherry Bomb axle back to fit right I had to bend 4 out of six hangers with a torch to get everything centered and angled right. Maremont (Cherry Bomb) also had to send me a new passenger side "coupler" pipe because it was bent wrong and was the wrong length. The passenger side was also dangerously close to hitting the IRS support crossmember.

With the Magnaflow system, I had plenty of clearance everywhere. It mated up to the stock (cut) factory pipe with no issues. I can go on and on...

It seems as though Magnaflow has worked out any bugs the original poster may have found in this kit.

I purchased my kit from performanceexhaustplus.com. Talk to Jim. He cut me a helluva deal.

That's good to hear. I emailed Magnaflow and described my issues. They replied saying they were forwarding my email to the production supervisor. I haven't heard anything back (and don't expect to), but I'll let everyone know if I do get a response...

Just put mine on. Your clip was the deciding factor for me to get these.

I know this is a somewhat older thread, but to the OP, I'm wondering if you had any other mods done at the time you put this on? And if so what? I'm currently completely stock - car is about 10 days old. So I'm looking to do my exhaust and my intake and am trying to find what it will sound like before any other mods. It sounds fantastic!
