i called juced good guys! they said vararam drop ships them for them and was not sure why they were not shipping them to their customers. he added that he is not real impressed with the power wedge. (could be why they are giving them away) when i did my install it was a tight fit i don't think i could jam anything else in there.
in other news i did led bulbs in my tail lights to finish up my all led tail end.the only thing left is the front side markers.please tell me i don't have to remove the front bumper to do that like i did on the rear for the back up lights and rear side markers.

I have always been interested in the Power Wedge, but have been skeptical of the power gains from what is essentially a spacer. Thing is, there are actually some independent dynos and testing out there (I think from the Corvette guys) that pretty much verify gains on par with what they claim. Once you have done most of the bolt on mods, $100 is actually a bargain for 8-10hp/tq.

They do state that if used with a Vararam OTR, it is absolutely vital that your tune is updated to reflect this, as the MAF is brought closer to the throttle body, otherwise no gains are to be had and you may have possible negative effects to idle and tip in quality.

But yeah, they are a hard sell. Not only because of the HP/TQ gains claimed, but because it is $100 for a piece of printed plastic. But when offered for free? You bet I would try one. Sucks they didn't send you one.

Wow, need sunglasses to see! Very nice! Had mine for just over ten years, June 29th. Just washed, clayed, waxed it. Then parked it in the garage under a car cover.

How much for paint correction? I just did polish job on on my CTS-V. It was my first time, and I'm certainly no professional. With me being the second owner, I inherited the lack of TLC provided by the first owner. Too many drive through car washes. It came out really nice though. Lots of clear coat scratches and swirl marks removed. I figure I spent about 12 hours doing it over a couple weeks.

I had 2 step paint correction with polish and it was $900. It was a lot of money, but I am very pleased with how it turned out!

To be honest, while I have been attracted to the Vararam, the free Power Wedge made me click the Buy button.
If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have hesitated to add the wedge to an intake order.
Jason told me that most Vararam installs net ~10HP.
At >$300 for a cai, and most of them net 10HP, nearly doubling that is certainly worth the (now)$69 for the wedge.

The Power Wedge is not printed plastic, or a spacer:
http://www.vararam.com/power-wedge.html

I was happy to see the gains the combo made on my Camaro.
While I don't see big gains starting at 2500RPM, there is no loss or delayed response. In fact, throttle response is very much improved.

I scaled the dyno print to estimate the gains across the power band:

So after seeing Ajarman’s showroom finish...what does a guy do on a rainy Friday and a vacation day? ...you clay the car. Not a paint correction by any means but, a nice result, none the less. The trunk and hood vinyl stripes cleaned up well too, with the clay. Tried a small spot to start and felt confident it wouldn’t be detrimental. When the sun gets back out, I’ll throw up a few pics.
Here’s a few pics. Hard to get the kind of lighting you want for reflections outdoors but, you get the general idea.

Once you get comfortable with the clay bar you will be using it all the time. Dont forget to clay your glass...its crazy how it beads water off kind of like rainX.

I’m happy with the results as a first time clay user. Never thought about the glass. Good idea!

This past week, I've clayed my car 5 times top to bottom including all the glass, rear spoiler and even the wrap on the hood. I'll be polishing it tomorrow to finish it off.

I wonder if it would work with a ported throttle body?
