o it’s not they cost 1700 bucks for a reason and many guys make a ton of money on the true high flow catts sold in high amounts..these aren’t like cheap cats they have a lot more precious metal in them, for example it takes less gold than copper to make lots of cash lol.. they sell used in good condition for 900bucks if they are going to be reinstalled after being tested and labeled..but we are Talking about recycling..
Do your homework !!! I started reading and seeing just how much some sell for compared to say one off a 120hp car lol. I turned a wrench for 30yrs and used to buy them by the truck load from exhaust shops and others I knew and did business with many years ago,but they didn’t sell for as much as they do now... Plus due to a lack of being able for America to get many of its own Precious metal like the extremely expensive ones in high flow converters which are worth more than gold have hit a all time high considering the CIA (and may still be who knows lol) at one time was buying the stuff under cover from countries who wouldn’t sell to USA in large numbers..it’s used in cell phones space program and why do you think the new Stealth fighter jets cost so much ? They are packed full of the same metals in a converter ..just food for thought if you check on even eBay your find that some salvage yards buy there and even recycling plants buy them for more than 250-300 instead of waiting for them to come to them.. A lot of salvage yards do not know how to grade different types of converters so they just pay A set amount for all..these high flow ones are like money in the bank trust me,on that..if I wasn’t disabled I’d invest $50k buying up as many as I could because if you know what your really doing it’s easy money otherwise well it’s like anything else...think of it this way the stuff in a converter is worth more than gold..palladium is 2400$ per ounce cough so think again about their value as there’s much more in theses larger higher flowing catts ... ______________

Oh yeah even scrap precious metal and converters is still after yrs of use 95% pure so it’s still worth over 2 grand per ounce as scrap lol it’s just that most car owners don’t know this and just see a old rusty piece of scrap

Even in a single Toyota Prius converter there’s about 2 grams of harvestable palladium in one converter..worth $450 euros per converter at recycling plant in Europe and they can even dig up their own stuff out of the ground unlike in the United States never mind the Platinum and rhodium as well
