Unhappy Cameras no longer work - post cam1/pioneer install

Hi all,

Hoping I can get some help here because I'm stuck. I previously had a PAC dash kit, along with a kenwood dmx7706s. Worked fine, but couldn't stand the glare. So, I decided to get rid of the PAC and go to the idatalink maestro cam1 and pioneer 4660nex. Hooked everything up and neither of my aftermarket cameras work now. I just get a black screen.

- Rear camera is connected to the brown rear camera input on the deck
- Front camera is connected to the yellow 2nd camera input on the deck
- I previously didn't have the red wire connected to the deck harness, but since it wasn't working, I went ahead and tapped the two in with a quick tap. Still nothing. (I guess maybe the tap didn't sufficiently tap into the harness wire?). I tapped into to red accessory wire.
- ON EDIT: Retapped the accessory wire and still not working. Leads me to believe this is a setting issue in the pioneer or cam1???
- Front and rear power and grounds are the same that worked before, so that can be ruled out.
- I did enable all camera features when setting up the CAM1.
- My stock camera in my rearview mirror does still work - it's just the aftermarket ones that are black screens.

Anyone have any advice? Is there something else I could be missing?

Thank you very much for your help!!!

Mike

For reference, I figured it out. When I had my Kenwood, I could connect the power to the turn signal lead and the ground to any good ground source. On the pioneer, the only way it would work was if I connected power and ground to the accessory and ground of the radio itself. Not sure why that was the case, but that's what was necessary to get things working.
