Installing Z/28 spoiler

Just got the stock spoiler off my '14 ZL1 to exchange for a carbon fiber Z/28 spoiler and of course I have the rubbed off paint issue on the sides but I'll deal with that... My question is, what do I use to stop water from coming in these bolt holes? Are rubber washers enough? What did you guys do?

Back in the day when I had a grand prix GTP I use to use garden hose washers with dielectric grease between the spoiler and trunk lid. Never had a leak after that. Only thing is after a few years they dry out, however they're cheap and easy to replace.

You can use Marine Goop which works awesome for sealing anything. I'd make some plastic discs or something and put the Goop on the disc and place over the hole.

I just put a good size dab on each of the unused holes and just a ring around the holes being used, then the spoiler will push down on it when installed and should seal up pretty good plus the new spoiler came with some foam tape to run all around the outer edge of the spoiler to help from chipping the paint

All the holes are used on mine except for the hole that had a plastic clip in it. I'll throw some silicone under it with the rubber washers I bought along with some foam tape around the edge to prevent chipping. I am heading to the dealer later today to see if they'll repaint my trunk lid.
