D.Coke, If you've got an 1/8th inch of clearance and a monster block, won't the torque from your engine flex and kick up into the hood when you go for a pass at the strip? Curious to see what you learn from this build once everything is buttoned up.

Its possible, but unlikely. Wouldnt hurt anything at any rate, other then a scuff (at which point I'd know obv its no bueno). We'll see.

Want to give Chris @ Circle D Specialties a plug for a killer deal on a 5c multi disc billet converter. Cant wait to get it. Last pieces are driveshaft and trans controller. First fire this week with a little luck

Were you spraying the previous stock block to get the 11.2@129 in your sig? With the Tremec?

Yes, it had mid 10s in it, but only ever made one pass (that 11.2) and had problems. Second pass the rear broke.

Put the fascia back on today, and the wheel wells. Installed trans dowels and started cutting on the frame rail for the trans plug. No pushrods showed up today :( hopefully monday will get to crank it

Pre frame rail cutting pics to show the fit. Tight in there.
Couple good shots of how the ADM Performance adapter plate works with the factory crossmember and a standard T400 trans mount |

Oh lovely, a DOUBLE frame. (This is the trans tunnel frame, not the car's frame rail. There are actually two seperate rails on the car, pretty neat)
Finally done. Ugly as ****... good as it's going to get on my back in the garage. Can make it pretty later. Onto the other side, the easy side. |

I looked and looked and looked it it just seemed like I could get enough room on the pass side not to even touch the rail. I was successful.
Step 1: Trim the corner of the trans pan around the actual transmission (this pan overhangs for no reason.. yours may or may not) Step 2: Picture is self explanatory Finished product, no more tunnel contact. There is ~1/8" of clearance at the pan rail to frame now, should be completely sufficient. |

Super elated it fired right up, especially with the manual ---> auto swap, E85 conversion, 1000cc injectors, and completely new engine/intake.
Now to tie up loose ends and get it on the road and let her eat! |
