personally, i loved the vette museum. the wife, kids and I took a long weekend and the camper down (which is only about 2-3 hours from me). we went to mammoth cave, which is always an awesome experience, went horseback riding and visited the museum. i wanted to go after the sink hole was fixed, but the cars were still on display. At the time we were there the only car to have been restored was the blue devil (the blue ZR1). it was amazing seeing the amount of destruction that was caused. the Mallet Hammer wasnt even recognizable as a car.
they switch up alot of cars in there so its not the same cars everytime. Id go again.

I raced at Beech Bend Raceway twice for the LTX Shootout. IMO I'd wait to visit BG until there is a huge car event. There are literally 10 massive car events there every year. Just time your vacation around one of those, and then do all of the other stuff, bourbon, museum, etc, during the stay.

Corvette Museum
I'm into the solid axle, mid-years and big block C3's. I've been there 4 times in my life, whenever I'm in the area. I felt that a lot of the cars on display just weren't that interesting. I really enjoy the rare ones, especially big blocks. On the other hand, I always thoroughly enjoyed the plant tours. I would wait till the tours are running again and then go.
I had a Corvette in the Museum on display for about 3 years-in the mock Chevy showroom. This was before the sink hole opened up--and I found that they were hard folks to deal with. It cost me $1500 to ship the car there and they wouldn't even give me a complimentary one year membership. Kept whining about how it was a non-profit organization. |

This is what we are debating over the dinner table. I am apt not to go back if I've been there (too many places on the bucket list) so it's been back and forth in my mind.

I found the Corvette museum pretty boring actually. I live in Nashville so it’s an hour away and I doubt I’d go back to the museum. Camaro fest on the other hand, is a must.

I was stalking car washes last night. Found 1 decent. Found 3 bad. Thank you for making me feel better about this question in my head. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
