Sonoma Thursday!

Car is prepped and ready to go... New gear and engine oil, swapped in the track tires.

Just needs a wash and the numbers...

Will be first time on track at Sonoma.

Off to practice on the sims rig!

Good evening all!

Aww yes! Sonoma is one of my favorite tracks. Jealous. Get good go pro, I've always wondered how a Gen 5 would settle in during the long uphill left hander after the front straight. That's alot of elevation! Which version of the track will it be?

Love all the turns, hope to make it someday. Since this is your 1st event you obviously dont yet know how dirty your car will get, dont bother washing it

Sonoma is fun, and a good weekend date vacation in general easy to sell to significant others.

I always give my car a quick wash just before leaving for a track day (this usually being the day before). Just the wet, wash & rinse part, I don't even bother to dry it afterward.

Bring some automotive glass cleaner and paper towels with you. Glass (all by itself) is much easier and less fatiguing to look through than 100 mph bug suicides and bits of OPR (other peoples' rubber) are to look around.

Which Sim are you running? I have a few. They are good for learning the lines, no so much for elevation changes. Im running Assetto, Rf2, Gtr2.

Have fun and be safe, Sears Point is very unforgiving if you have an off. I prefer Thunderhill very safe track.

Iracing is what I play on...

2 sessions in atm...

Good to know the turns before hand, learning how the car likes to take them is another matter, running in 6 track day 888s ... Take it nice and easy, so far best time is 2m7s ... Not that fast but it's fun
