Help with Z28 spoiler install for 2010 Camaro

Wassup everyone! I recently bought a Z28 style spoiler for my 2010 camaro from Ebay that I saw in a past thread on here and loved it. I bought it knowing some minor adjustments would need to made to the holes in my trunk. My problem is after I removed the stock spoiler and put the new one on the holes seem to be off by what seems to be quite a bit. About an inch on one end hole, and about a half of an inch on the other end hole. Not sure exactly how much on the inner holes. I am not sure if I want to tackle this on my own so I got a couple of quotes to install and everyone is charging about $120 for the work. Does anyone have any helpful ideas or guides/instructions they may have used to install the spoiler themselves?? I would appreciate it. Thanks

I'm assuming you're worried about the original holes being there still? Because you can drill the new holes if you want.

Mine was off as well, split the difference and whore out the existing holes in the trunk lid and you’ll be fine.

This!

I can understand how drilling holes into your car can be daunting, but there's nothing wrong with having a professional doing it either when you're not too sure. Better to be safe than sorry.

NO NO NO don't drill your trunk! Get yourself a rivet tool kit! Drill out the spoiler not the trunk!

that is what happens when you buy the cheap ebay stuff....should have bough one through ACS and it would have lined up perfect.

Why would anyone do that when you can get a painted one for about half what the unpainted ACS spoiler costs? Lol

Like another person said before, just spread them out a bit across the spoiler. I think 2 of mine lined up right and the others are good enough. Had it installed for about a year and a half with no problems. But if you are worried, or don’t want to do it yourself, it might be worth the $120 to have it done “right”.

So I bought mine from ASC aero sport concepts not to be confused with ACS, for 600 bucks or so you can get the Z28 spoiler with wicker bill and GM paint match to GM color code. It was pretty close to fitting but not perfect. Really good quality for the price.

hey...some people buy cheap...some don't....in the end you get what you pay for.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Z28 spoiler fits the 2014 and up trunk lid doesn't it?

This is what I thought unless they are talking about a custom one that fits older trunk lids...
