cut outs
Hello I have no idea what the purpose of cut outs are and how they are installed.
 is it just to make the car loud...

makes the car LOUD and frees up some horsepower. I believe Darth Emma got 50 rwhp from her cut outs. Though hers are before the cats which is not usually done.

Personal preference. I have no experience with cut out brands as getting them is just a day dream of mine.

Like stieger above, I've been day-dreaming about getting cutouts or perhaps diverters for mine. But, I have to slow down and take things one at a time. I'm getting my ARH long tubes installed this coming week. After this, I may or may not need cutouts, since it will definitely be LOUD!

I do not know about increased HP, but they dont seem that expensive, seems like its going to be more labor then parts thow...

$80 install at a custom exhaust shop... and mine had 4 welds instead of 2.

I just sold my QTP oval cut-outs because I am in the process of installing my Stainless Works Retro Chambered system, and someday I will have SW 2" Headers with HF Cats. So I figured that would certainly be loud enough. But if I didn't have this system going in, I definitely would love to have kept them.
Have ya'll seen the new "wireless" activation system that QTP just released? That is just awesome!!! Makes me kinda wish I still had 'em. |
