Callaway or Lingenfelter supercharger

I have a 18 ZL1 10 speed and I’m considering either the Callaway or Lingenfelter supercharger. I have a Lingenfelter Corvette and couldn’t be happier with the engineering quality. Does anyone have experience with Callaway? I’m leaning Callaway since it doesn’t void the GM warranty (Callaway covers its parts).

If you want to upgrade your blower just wait and get the new GM LT5 2.65 blower.

+1 I would do just as RLHMARINES have suggested. The Eaton factory chargers really rev quicker, now with the new LT5 engine in the ZR1 it will have ported and direct injection combined, it will be interesting to know how simple the interchange will be.

by the sounds of it it looks like the OP wants to make big power out of his zl-1 which the little factory blowers just can't produce (even the lt5 blower). many shops like vengeance have actually taken the blower out of the cars and instead put a big f1 procharger on them and are making well north of 1,000whp. this way is obviously gonna be more expensive but without any knowledge of your goals im just assuming thats what you want?

Why choose either one of those 2? Because the names? Regular people and reputable shops can make as much power for probably less money.

B/c he’s potentially able to keep the GM warranty by using Callaway from what he was saying above

I think you are speaking of the LT4 supercharger which is a 1.7 liter and yes limited to around the mid 700rwhp range with modes in most cases. The LT5 will be in the new ZR1 which is a 2.6 liter supercharger. The 1.9 on the LSA have been a very efficient horsepower making great power with modifications and boost increase there are several mid 850rwhp ZL's and CTSV's around.

Exactly what hp numbers are you trying to achieve?

no, i was talking about both the lt4 and lt5 blowers... i'm sorry but a tiny blower wont put out the numbers that prochargers and turbos are capable of. i'm not by any means saying either of those blowers are bad i'm just simply saying theres a reason when people want BIG hp numbers they go to a procharger or turbo set up. just my .02

Yes I agree but the LT5 is not out yet. I do agree that pro chargers and turbos make big numbers but if you are interested quick aceleration particarly 1/8 mile many of lower hp root style chargers are putting down quicker e.t.'s. You are correct as well, I guess it just boils down to what you want.
