Star Trek Online?

Anyone else playing this? I'm trying it out, but I've never been a MMO player before. Usually more of a FPS player on my 360.

Anyway, I need something to entertain myself until it gets warm and the motorcycle can come back out (and I can drive the Camaro a bit more for pleasure.)

I thought about it, but I'm done with mmo's until star wars the old republic comes out.

Headpunter plays it and likes it.

Sorry but this mmo looks like shit. If you want to try a good mmo, check out Warhammer online.

But I've quit mmos. Too much time to invest, and to Carebear-ish now in days.

I beta'd this one.

Its ehhh, not very good. Its sloppy in about every aspect.

The only reason you should play it is if you are a die hard star trek fan, if you are not advoid it.

The StarTrek video games have always sucked big time, where it’s a big grid board and you try and click your way through, and then when its battle time its like 1980 RPG with little to no action to it at all.

The StarWars games finally broke that mode with like battlefront that had real space battles too.

You want an action game get the new AVP, the old one that was PC only was hard as F, NO matter what sided I played, I was dead n 3 sec, great grafix n game play but the problem then was your entire keyboard had to be used, ever key had a used. The new version made to use the limited buttons of a controller should be allot more playable.

I tried to find a beta key for this and had no luck - reviews I have seen so far have been lackluster.

I still play WoW and love it - probably won't switch until WoW2 or something

Love to see the old DOS games redone for today and drop the MMO stuff for the most part, still be able to battle online but not at such a lvl where you can't have fun unless you pay an extra $20 a month on top of a $80 game.

I hear that. Vanilla WoW was $50, first expansion was $50, second expansion was $50, and so on and so on. How about $50 for the game and expansions be either free or $20 at the most. The $15/mo fees should offset a LOT of the development costs IMO.

LOL, Vanilla WoW...haven't heard that in a while. I sold my accounts, just so I wouldn't be tempted to go back.
