Just remember how much a new car depreciates immediately after it's driven off the lot, you could add back the mods and possibly break even on purchase price if you've put that much into it, but then you've lost the cash on the price of the mods. There's virtually no way to recoup it.

I'd keep all the original parts. Keep the OE tune as the back up file in a handheld tuner.

At time to sell, offer it with mods or back to stock. Let the buyer pick.

The only reason the warranty would be void is if you went to a dealer with an aftermarket cal in the ECM. So just don't do that.

Most modded cars, no matter the shop, bring less at resale than a 100% stock car. Hence the reason my complete exhaust system is hanging in my garage.

Be ready to put the car back to stock when you sell it. You can sell the aftermarket parts separately, that's how to get the most back from your car.

Thanks for the input guys...this site is unbelievable! Yes, I plan on NOT selling it. Wife and I are tying to get pregnant and we are unsure if she would continue working if it happened. IF she doesn't, it may be a little tight holding onto the Camaro (especially if a bigger house is in the works).

I just wanted to see what some other guys experiences were when it comes to selling cars with mods. I do not intend at all to get my money back of course, but I assumed with just a Corsa and CAI, no tune, it wouldn't be much of an issue. I think I will just keep it at that for now even though I have some money burning a hole in my pocket to spend on it...I will just pay it off quicker!

Hopefully we will know soon enough about having a baby. If I can hang on to it for just another year or two it will be paid off and the supercharger will be coming (along with a baby seat too )!

To be honest any modified car will sell for less. People don't want a car thats been messed with. Sure some people will see the value, but everyone has there own ideas and most aren't the same as yours or mine. Generally if you offer the parts to return it to stock or return it to stock before selling it you should be ok. As far as warranty if they ask you need to tell the truth or you may be forced to take the car back and give them their money, and that might mean taking back a car with a blown motor. On the flip side this is a Camaro and not a Honda civic so people are less likely to worry about basic mods.
