It's on their website in the racers handbook that if they deem the window tint "excessive" you'll be kicked off the line.

Would like to know the reason behind that rule.

What track is that.....and likely if your racing at night maybe they feel you cant see properly with heavy tint. Im thinking this is a rule not enforced very often.....if you dont say anything they might not either.

We're hoping to get this run sometime in June. The next month sucks for both of us. I'm in the process of getting the 3.91:1 rear put in my car, hopefully the first week or two of June. I'm guessing this change should give me a decent boost in my chances of winning?

Pretty much every Mopar product that came with a 5.7L is slower than every single muscle car from 2005 onwards. The 3v is faster than they are as well as the Camaro. Hell, even the 3.7L Mustang gives them a good run for the money.

Let's not forget about Precision Industries either........lol.

Raced at the strip or elsewhere? What have you done to your 5.7? Auto or M6?

I have a 6 speed with Mopar Air Intake and resonator delete.
I didn't think that those 2 options would make a real difference but my nephew has the same 2010 RT with both of those changes, I had raced him 4 or 5 times and could not beat him and would loose by 2 cars every time. I added both and put a 275/45/20 on the back and now I'm even if not better than he is.
Taking the car to the track is a pain as the nearest track is 2.5h away so makes it a bit hard to get there, would want to take it on a trailer and I just picked up new truck so maybe this summer I will take it down.

Awesome thread! As I posted in another thread, I used to own a 2013 Challenger R/T (Auto) that I took it to the local drag strip... After about 15 runs, I had things dialed in pretty good and ran my best time of 13.591 seconds in the quarter-mile at 103.89 MPH.

The only mod on the Challenger was resonator delete and replace with Blastin' Bobs, which probably cut about 40 pounds off the rear-end. I also went in with a quarter of a tank of gas, and lifted the hood between runs to keep the car cool.

I'm hoping my stock 2013 Camaro 2SS L99 with the additional HP and lower weight will be able to make under 13.30 seconds and over 105 MPH.

Anyone else here have any drag-strip experience with the 2013 2SS L99? What time did you get in the quarter mile?
