im not all that familiar on the subject but i do know that they are 2 entirely different systems of lighting and if you wanted to convert to hid halos you would have to buy the headlights, and the housing, and probably have to do some rewiring. overall it would prove to be an expensive operation . it's better just to get rs. although i think AAC makes a relatively cheep led halo that goes on top of a non-rs halogen bulb.

I don't know about the ones that come with the RS, but generally HID's require less Wattage. My HID's are 35W, and my halogens were 55W.

But like I said, I don't know about the ones in the camaro's.

I am trying to install the AAC supplied halo rings on my non-RS camaro and I can tell you there is definitely a difference between HID and non-HID headlight housings. All of the videos show installation on RS housings, which is a piece of cake. I still haven't figured out how to secure the rings in the non-RS housing.

The HID system uses a projector and the halogen system uses reflectors.

I have the AAC version and I think they look good. They have a distinct cut off line. Easy install as well....took about 30 min. I also like the fact that I can go back to Halogen in about the same amount of time if I need to.

So what temp bulbs did you settle on? I'm leaning towards the 6000, but I think I like whatever you have in the pics.
