Hennesey's already been beaten; I don't think he wants to throw himself under the bus here in such a high visibility thread. New Era's seems to have issues and if Ted's testing reveals that "officially" that would kill their sales so I'm sure they don't want to risk that. Vara may not have a production final quality piece ready yet. Vara's is the one I'd most like to see tested here too lol.

I now you don't think so but you can not do a back to back test on this car, As the minute you go from CAI to OEM box it makes the AFR go to lean and you get a higher HP #, It drives like you put a big cam in the car and takes a good 100 mi to came back so if you don't tune it it runs like hell. As for Vararam, Thay do not have a production final quality piece ready yet, As so many of you are saying that the look of this unit and that unit is so good there beta units are not for you to see next to a production unit.

I understand supporting them beacuse you are a tester of their unit, but how can you make claims about a product that no one has seen. Also, if the car runs lean after switching units, then the car will be lean for all the tests, correct?

I am well aware of how the whole system works, I am very familiar with GM computer strategy. I do have a plan on how to make this completely Fair, and will be reporting my findings. If anyone does not want to participate, that is fine, consumers will draw they're own conclusions.

I think they tuned these motors in a controlled envorment with different or no intakes on them. There is no logical explination as to why a factory tune would be that rich and run normal after a CAI swap. |

Not that Ted needs anyone to substantiate his accomplishments of obtaining reliable speed, but I will say it's not likely someone is going to spring a technological surprise on him. He's been doin this shit longer then a lot of y'all been part of this thing called humanity. lol......No disrespect to anyone. Facts is facts.

Were having a hard time keeping production up with orders, when do you plan on having this test? We can send one of our units in if we catch up. what will you be looking for? just power gains vs price? will you also be testing for IAT's? Any street or strip testing or all dyno?

Basic Plan.
Dyno and datalog Stock Car for solid baseline Install said cold air kit with air temp sensor in pipe just before throttle body Clear computer fuel trim values Drive cycle to let long term fuel trims settle in dyno until numbers stabalize also record fuel trim values, timing values, HP Torque A/F ratio, and all weather info. water and oil temps will be consistant throughout testing. Hood will be closed for all testing There are a lot more details but you get the Idea. We will also be evaluating, Packaging, overall quality, fit and finish, ease of installation. Pricing will not be brought in to this evaluation, Too many Products are sold on Price alone, which should be the last part of the decision process, not the first. I am also open to any other suggestions.
