OP I would advise you to stop street racing. Take it to the track. Don't be a loser.

Pretty sure competition mode is manual's only, provides launch control. Correct me if im wrong of course! also, OP having your nannies on does not help. Do what the Miami above stated. You won't move if you've got TC on.
edit: but maybe practice a little in a safe area first.............

I would recommend leaving at least stability control on in all situations on the street. And even the track.
Disabling everything on the street is dumb... ...But so is racing on the streets. So...

I get ZERO stock 5th or 6th-gen Mustangs looking for stoplight/highway action. None. Their owners read the same magazines and watch YouTube too, and they know how that story ends. If I get a challenge from a Mustang, it's modded. At LEAST a tune and exhaust. Count on it. |

I just traded my 15 GT. I had Stainless Works lt's with cats and a tune. I ran 12.65@ 113 with a 8.30 1/8th mile. I did not have drag radials, slicks, stripped interior, or a carbon fiber driveshaft like most who run bottom 12's. I did run a 8.1 1/8th on one pass at one of the best 1/8th mile tracks in the country slipping the clutch by accident. I had just added a PMAS cold air with a retune (but never ran it with the CAI) I would imagine it would have run 8.0's and possibly 12.20-12.30's.
As soon as I test drove the Camaro SS I was sold. I hated having a 3.6X first gear (MT82 Chinese trans) and 1:1 5th gear. The Mustang had more supportive seats and a great trunk, about the only things better than the Camaro IMHO. My GT ran 13.0 bone stock. No contest against a stock SS. Most guys rolling around in them have at least the CAI, tune, and exhaust.

I make sure I resist the street scene, that's the last thing I need is a massive fine and increased insurance. And any car that can challenge me means that in a 1/4 mile we are both doing 120. I don't need that in our city with our 35-45 MPH zones.

Me and a friend both have A8 SS's. I've never run over 12.5 and he's never run under. Mine's a 1SS and his is a 2SS. I assume his car might weigh a little more but at most its a tenth
