Ill add your name to the list but looks like it will only be 4 of us. If nobody else says they are going by Friday about 5 when I get off work I will cancel it and delete it off the main page.

It will be on Saturday but if nobody else says they want to go by tomorrow at 5 I will cancel it.

I haven't had a chance this week to enjoy driving my car, so I'll probably go to A&W anyway, if any stragglers wanna meet me.

Good news I'd I have my spare tires in my garage now, so that's a relief. Has anyone visited the issue locally of trying to obtain a rim/tire combo that will fit over the Brembos, but yet fit in the tire well as a full size spare? I'd like to do that...

I hope to see some peeps at NAPA and/or A&W.

Don't think spare in the well is gonna work. The SS has the battery located in the well. Pretty sure you will be the same since you are basically an SS with an added option package. A far as a spare rim/tire combo, most SS owners that go that route purchase a front rim and tire and use that. The rear rims won't fit the front without rubbing. Remember its just a spare and temporary. You can get yours used from members sometimes or pay up at the dealer. What are your stock rim sizes? Not sure if an SS rim will work for you. They are 20X8 in the front and 20X9 in the rear. GL

I know that any such obtained spare would be temp-only. I'd like to do some travelling later on in my Camaro and would like the security of having a spare tire should I have a major debris-related tire failure out on the highway. I'd rather not be dependent on a wrecker should a tire problem exceed the capability of the little air pump in the trunk.

I think an SS rim would work, as you say, a front only. My 1LE rims are 10x20 on the front and 11x20 on the rear. The brakes, calipers and rotors on the 1LE are supposed to be regular SS parts.

Aren't all Camaro5 batteries in the trunk? I thought they were...

I know that I'd also have to get a small jack and tire tool as well as the tire/rim combo. It would only be for out-of-town trips. I might try to buy a spare set of SS rims just for good measure anyway. I figure they'll maintain their value as years pass anyway.
