Outside tire wear

Hey all looking for some guidance. I am lowered on bc coilovers and am running a 275/40-20 tire up front. My alignment is completely in spec yet only my right front tire has excessive outside edge wear. The front left tire is fine...trying to figure out what the issue could be...any help?

can you post your alignment specs and when was it done? You havnet changed any suspension components since the alignment? How long has it been since any suspension changes and you noticed the tread wear issues?

Alignment has been done twice with this exact setup. No components changed at all. I didn't get a printout cause I could see it all on the screen. Should have taken a picture. Toe was at 0. I noticed it about a month ago hence the second alignment to check everything and it was all pretty much the same and in spec. The coilovers have been on for a good while now, probably 6-8 months.

Within spec and right are 2 vastly different things.

Most manufacturer specs allow up to 1 degree of camber variance and there's zero requirement to equalize it side to side. The program still shows "green".

Bringing this topic back up. Still apparently having this issue and it's still only the front right tire outside edge that is worn excessively. Is it possible for it to also be a suspension part on that side?

Still need alignment spect to give any help here, could be just a bad alignment, could be a damaged part not allowing proper alignment but the alignment specs are key.

Have you checked the air pressue? I use an external, high quality gauge on mine, don't trust the tpms but that's just me.

This is an easy one guys.

A green range alignment toe spec will not cause outside shoulder wear.

A pushing car, an over driven car or a car with insufficient negative front camber driven moderately hard will cause outside shoulder wear on the front tires.

Take these specs to your alignment shop. Tell them you want a before and after print out. If you don't get them, you will not pay for the alignment.

Also tell them you were instructed by an online expert (they will love that) the alignment must be dead nuts balls on accurate numbers matched. Expect to pay as much as double.

Front
Camber -1.5
Toe 0.00

Rear
Camber, as little as possible. Lowered you are probably looking at -0.80. Less is better.
Toe IN 0.10
Total Rear Toe IN 0.20

Outside shoulder tire wear problem is now history.

PS: Your best choice is to bring it to me

I have rear outside tire wear. These are original tires on car with 20K miles. I realize I'm not going to get much more, but wondering....is this a tire pressure issue or camber issue? Going to put new rear tires on, but don't want to have issues with new tires. Thanks for the help.

Post your current alignment specs and someone could tell you. Air pressure issues don't affect a single side in a daily driver.
