Stock 12.58 record has held up for 5 years

Well I sold the car but, get on here every so often to see if my 12.58 still holds up. Can't believe it's been 5 years ago March 6th. Good times!!!

I agree. It is all up to the owner/driver to make the car shine.

Plus, we all know that black is the fastest color!

I don't think I've seen a bone stock SS even get into the 12's at our track. But Thunder Valley is known for being a slow track. Definitely wasn't trying to say it was the car and not the driver. Awesome record OP, 5 years is a long time!

Believe me, I tried my best to beat it. I enjoyed chasing your numbers through the years.
Much respect!

I actually delayed modding my car so I could chase your stock record. I just couldn't make it happen. My 1/8 stock record is still intact after 4+ years.

Yes it is and congrats on that! Looks like the car is running good with the mods! Mine is on the other side of the world. Sold it to a guy from Dubai Saudi Arabia.

With the m6 alot of 1.9X's on good passes. I think 1.91 was my best.

Just as there are still a few die hards that run stock and super stock with manuals yet in NHRA & IHRA and still are right there with the auto trans competitors, the skilled driver that can launch and shift this good will run quicker than the parasitic loss of a comparable auto trans car. Congrats!

Here is a good tutorial on manual launching and shifting:
