Personally, I am a big drag racing fan, so this is awesome news to me! Since Bickel builds many Pro Stock cars for NHRA, I would expect some teams running the Camaro over there also. Hopefully, the Camaro's body lines are not altered too much!

Well, your agent talked to Mr. Bickel at the PRI Show in Orlando on Saturday about the project and his plans to have it done in time for the 2011 season.

He also got word that the ADRL has already approved the Camaro for XPS, meaning it would be the first major sanctioning body to do so.
It also means the debut of the amazing new car would come under the ADRL, which is very exciting news for everyone.
“It’s going to be a great deal and if it’s already approved for the ADRL, that’s a great deal,” Bickel told your agent.
“I think anybody who races in XPS who drives a GM product will want this car. The Camaro has been an icon of GM racing forever.”

Your agent is also getting word of at least one prominent XPS driver who has shown a strong interest in the Camaro. In fact, he talked to one at the PRI show in Orlando, and he told your agent if everything goes well he hopes to debut it early in the 2011 season.
This new Camaro will have a touch of a retro feel, but your agent is certainly one of many who can’t wait to see Camaros and Mustangs running against each other in XPS in 2011.
It will be even better if the ADRL is the first to have these standoffs and it is certainly looking as though that will be the case.

Neither can I! I will be at the first race of the ADRL in Baytown, so I'll be able to take some pictures of it to share with the forum.

coooool. The orange draw ups look good! The photo-shop does not...well the photoshop work is good, but I hope the drag car doesnt look like that. However looking at the Jegs draw-up, I can see how it would look like the photo-shop...
