Hope this isn't the dumbest question in this forum...

So after having our 'vert for two weeks, I am tired of having to clean the sunscreen marks off of the seats and doors, but wife needs her sunscreen on, or crispy she will be!

What kind do you guys use, and do you have any issues with it rubbing off onto the seats and/or door panels? (steering wheel too, for that matter) Wife has been using Coppertone Sport... I'm thinking the Sport part is what is making it more oily so it holds up for swimming, etc.

LMAO ! Got to say I have the same problem except my wife doesn't drive my camaro. I keep a towel in the car and just clean up after her.

Heh. Just so long as she agrees!

I've found that the stuff we have doesn't just wipe off though... especially not off of the leather and vinyl on the seats

Weird, I was just thinking I might start a thread about this. Though your subject line makes it hard to figure out what this thread is really about.

I've been using Banana Boat SPF30. This one: http://www.amazon.com/Banana-Boat-De...na+boat+spf+30

I really hate greasy sunscreens and this is the lightest one I've been able to find. So far, I haven't had an issue with it getting on my steering wheel or shifter after applying it. But if anyone knows of a sunscreen that has an even lighter feel, I'm game to try it.

I also keep towels (2) in the car. My wife puts one the console "before" leaning her arm on it. She uses the other one for the door.
It's the ....

I'd say ride with a beach towel on the seat for one, and keep a small spray bottle of "Simple Green" or even a small sprayer of a diluted solution of kitchen dish soap and water on hand with some paper towels in the glove compartment/center console. One of those goofy little sprayers that they have in the "traveler's section" at Target or Wally World (where you get the small packages of bigger items, like samples. Target I found has the best selection). The kitchen dish soap has surfactants that eat grease. Avoid alcohol or ammonia type cleaners. I have found these come in incredibly handy and they work well. And to add, they do no harm to your paint/leather/plastics...etc. Use a soft cloth on any clear plastic bezels if they become contaminated. A good plastic polish once and a while such as that made by Meguiar's is also good thing.

After a ride with the wife and I wearing sunscreen, my interior looks like it was hit by a CSI team for prints!!! I keep my cleaning products in the trunk, and use Jax Wax Shine All on the interior. The sunscreen comes right off. I still use a leather treatment on a regular basis, but this stuff is a great way to clean up quick.

A towel, a tub of "Baby Wipes" and / or a seat cover.

The cleaners suggested are all fine 'n dandy but if Baby Wipes can clean up the sh*tiest baby-made mess, just imagine what it can do with suntan lotion.

I was using Sea & SKI For Faces for years. It was great. Now I find out it is discontinued. In fact, I think Sea & Ski doesn't even exist anymore. I will be watching this post to see if anything useful comes up.

As far as baby wipes, maybe it works on the car, maybe not. But simple water would work on the baby. It would not get sunblock off the car.
