2018 Z28 (good) spy shot at Nurburgring!

http://www.caranddriver.com/news/201...py-photos-news

You can see lots of goodies: dive planes, deep splitter, highly adjustable rear wing, CCB's, maybe wider rears than Gen 5 Z28, Flowtie, etc. Have not seen video of it yet at the 'Ring from today / this week, but, I'm sure some will turn up.

Looks good. I'm dying to find out what engine they're planning/using. Still hoping for a 550+ horsepower N/A V8...what though?

I still think this will be a track-ready pkg available on the new ZL1, akin to the ACR pkg on the Viper and the "R" on the new GT350, or at the very least, a Z07 type option (ZL2?).

If I want something with a wing like that, I'll buy an airplane.

I predict a 1LE version of the ZL1, not a Z/28. At least I hope so. Otherwise my wife will kill me when I get one.

Perfect timing. Mine will be all worn out and I'll be looking fot %20 off on a new one in 2/3 years. That's the only way I'll buy another Cevy.

I think it will be a ZL1 with a Z28 RPO code witch will give it the CCB's and Aero.. Similar to the Z06 with the Z07 package..

That'd be my bet. Reports of blower whine heard. I'm sure videos are coming.

Everything about that is lovely. I hope they go all out and have factory rear seat / air / radio deletes, and a cage option.

Is it me, or are the front tires significantly narrower than the rear?

Just a hunch, but I'd be surprised if they release a new Z/28 just yet. There was 2 year gap between the 2012 Zl1 and the Z/28. Am thinking they'll want to fine tune the Alpha platform, see what Ford does in response to the ZL1 and then answer accordingly. Also, if they were to release a new Z/28 too soon, it may eat into the sales of the ZL1 - no?

For debating purposes... if they build a Gen 6 Z/28, how will it differ from Gen 5? Can/will they build another one as hardcore as Gen 5 given the difficulty selling the latter? That would seem like a tough sell. Would dealers be willing to tie up large sums of cash for such a car again? IMO, it would have to be more in the vein of the Shelby GT350R. Very stout, but much less harsh (and cheaper). Thoughts?
