Why Did They Close The 48k Thread
48k is still to much, I was thinking along the line of 45k. Don't forget the GG tax and state tax, GM should help us out, seeing we made this car possible with the demand we gave them by purchasing all these Camaro's.

Yeah, because running a business to help people out is always a smart business decision.
Sorry, I know that sounds like I'm a smart ass, and it does, but that's just not how things work. |

GM still has to make a profit and from your post, I am pretty sure you are underestimating the value of the ZL1 content. If you simply price it up from an SS you'll quickly see that $45,000 is wayyyyyyyy low for this car. And GM is not responsible for taking price out to compensate the government policies set by officials you helped elect. Sorry.

I would imagine that thread got closed due to the OP essentially stating fbodfather was wrong about what the price would be because they knew better.

It's BS if you ask me. If they can't make the ZL1 under 40k I'm gonna be pissed. |

Why on earth would you think it'll be under 40K? It's designed to compete with the GT500 and will be priced appropriately. Hell, the SRT8 Challenger is 45K...A fully loaded 2SS/RS is JUST under 40K...

If you're complaining about 48K, you clearly should not buy a ZL1. A fully loaded GT500, in Canada, is around $71,000. If you can get MSRP you will get a GT500 for $55,742, with a Nav System, Glass Roof, Stripe Package and SVT Track Package. If you convert that MSRP to Canadian Dollars it comes to about $56,550.27. We get charged almost $15,000 more than you do for the exact same car. So don't whine about the ZL1 being 48K. You're not the ones getting lamb roasted by dealers. 25K markup, now you know how we feel up here...... Canada is awesome but American (USA) companies sure know how to screw us.

LOL I apologize. We have some REALLY unreasonable members on this board and the comment just didn't surprise me is why I didn't catch the humor.
