Angry Pfadt headers/ borla atak

Just installed both with pfadt hi flows

Welded cats to borla exhaust
After a few heat cycles
The passenger side header is 'just' touching the crossmember
Slow speed turns and low idle are an annoying rattle,
Will the self locking jrp header bolts help realign?
Any one else have header clearance issues?

I didn't have any issues with the Tri-Ys connecting to the factory pipes, but had to readjust the SW retro chamber exhaust after a few hundred miles. Now it's good to go, even on dirt washboard sections of county roads.

Welding is a bad idea..makes it hard to make adjustments. I would take it to an exhaust shop and get them to fix whatever the issue is. Locking bolts won't help.

Exactly. Don't they bolt right up? Should've never welded them. This is your shops problem, not Pfadt or Borla.

What other way would I attach the cats to borla pipes?

Another question, I heard a lot about heads becoming loose over time?
How do ji combat this?

With the clamps that it comes with...

Please don't take this the wrong way, but if you can't do the work yourself, or if it's beyond your comfort level, don't do it. The pipes should not have been welded and now you may have to spend even more money getting it fixed.

Also, there is a screw on the passenger side that comes out of the frame and can contact the header. This happened to mine and it caused a rattle at low speeds.

You reuse the factory barrel clamps. That is how every header that uses mid pipes works.

I sure hope your heads don't come loose! If you mean the headers, when we install them, we hand tighten them. Then a week later, we go back and tighten them again. After that you should have no issues.

Yes I mean headers lol

Turns out, the reason why I have some clearance issues
Is due to a cracked motor mount

Guess I ran it too hard at the track lol

Fixed under warranty now
