2011 Camaro 5th Gen Door Check - Doors will not stay open.
December 2017 I replaced both door checks and they now have gone bad, again. I found many options online to buy OEM new replacements for $42 and up. Placed a few orders only to have each canceled by seller. Went to Chevy Dealer and learned that there were only 3 available across the US. So I placed an order, paid 40% more than 2017, only one arrived and waited 5 weeks to get it.

My Questions is, does anyone know of a way to repair the broken original parts that I still have? A hack or even an OE or different year make and model that works? I thought I would ask first before sacrificing one check and tearing/cutting apart to see if there is a fixable solution.
