I hate to be the lone raider but I love the camaro even though I don't have one yet. When I see one I pay the driver the utmost respect. I give them a lot of room and a thumbs up when they notice my admiration of their cars. I only wrote this reply because someone said that the true enthusiast were the ones that got them when they first came out and that simply isn't true.

When the Camaro emerged back into the spotlight, the die-hards couldn't wait to get behind the wheel.

The Camaro has an elite following and there are a lot of "Want-to-bes" out there.

Some, not all, of the laggers into the market just don't understand the heritage or philosophy behind the Camaro.

It's a feeling that only the true die-hard Camaro owner has.

I've waved at some of the "Newbes" here in town and they just stare back.

don`t feel bad, the same thing is going on in the corvette community. new owners that never had camaro or corvettes in the 60`s and 70`s probably don`t know about the tradition.

Hmmmm.....i travel 95 between Va and NC and i hardly ever run accross another Camaro! I do get lots of stares on the HWY and the occassional Ricer trying to goat me into a race.

There are jerks everywhere you go. Just because they own a camaro don't mean they wanna wave to you. I don't wave to anyone either. But if someone says hi to me I will try to throw my hand up before we pass each other

lol. I'm shocked that people try to race you. I never have any ricers bother me. But beware them little things are beast with a turbo from a roll. If there trying to mess with you most likely they have something under the hood

My focus is on the road, traffic, conditions, and plotting plan Bs just in case. Not that I'm unfriendly in person, but I'm not looking to see who is looking at me unless safety demands it.

Never really into the wave thing and I have owned 3 vettes , 3 camaros and 3 trans ams . There are just too many of these vehicles on the road , period , to be waving at everyone out there . Just my .02.
