Various folks at GM have stated multiple times that the 2014-2015 Z/28 will be limited to 2,000-2,500 units. We suspect because of the hand built 427s.

That's also the way I see it. Apples and oranges in many ways. Still interesting, but stretches the idea of, "comparing" because buyer profile for each car are different.

Those drivers suck balls. Worst video comparison ive seen. Also, why dont you just bounce the tach a few more times on the hellcat...

Did anyone else cringe at the 6:40 minute mark??
The Z/28 didn't looked like it was being pushed at all, its time should have been much lower.

Also noticed the Z was the only car that did not squeal the tires going around the curves.

Took a few things away from this video:
1. Challanger, obviously Dodge needs to invest a bit more in putting that power to the ground. In my opinion, I am sure its fun as hell to drive but worthless. Rated at 707 HP, it looks like its only able to put half that much to the ground. Kind of embarrassing to have that much power and have no way to use it other then burn off tires at will. Not that that is a bad thing but really, what good is it. 2. The Mustang is looking like their sedan line of cars instead of their muscle car. Obviously they have done some work seeing what Chevy did with their Camaro and made similar upgrades to the stang to make it a better road car, still, the look is much to refined for me. Hope the new Camaro does not go the same direction. 3. It appeared to me that the guy was driving the Z pretty conservatively. In both the stang and hellcat, you could hear the tires chirp a couple times or flat out loose the rear end a few times with the hellcat. Maybe that's just a testament to the grip of the Z but I would like to see all three cars driven to their limits by a professional driver and see what the final numbers would be. I would bet the Z would go under 1.40 easily.

Yet again why I HATE some of these companies that have no clue how to compare vehicles or write an honest review. Hmmm all the push for the Mustank, wonder how much they paid, lol. I mean it was so close to the Z-28, how would it stack to the 1LE??? They should have had real profesional driver who could use the vehicles to their full potential and not what seemed like a scared driver. That HellKat seemed like a beast and I bet would do amazing in a straight line and would say be a better comparison ZL1 and the new Z06.

This "comparo" of the three most enthusiastic current versions from each company is intended to drive traffic on their site. Plain and simple. Something for everyone.
Z/28s have been clocked @ Gingerman numerous times in sub-1:40s. It's brakes are so beyond those of either other candidate, here. This Z/28 needed the "driver mod". |

if I had a Z28 I would put all of the factory sound insulation back in and then do a mild cam and headers to add about 40-50hp to more than make up the weight penalty.
the car has so much grip and so much braking that the driver was clearly not up to the car. I noticed in at least 2 turns he entered faster in the mustang and was not getting on the power early enough. |
