650hp/650tq should be impressive especially if it was a 10 speed. My guess is he was sand bagging.

I guess it really depends on how much power the car you normally drive puts down. If you put down 800 rwhp then yeah a new ZL1 probably won’t blow your mind

Was it on a Mustang or Dynojet? I wouldn't take "dyno numbers" as gospel.

Hmm, been a while since we had one of these trolling threads. I miss the v6 vs. v8 days too.

This guy is not a gear head type, he has no idea about the car he bought. If he wants to run them Ill get him heat soaked and kill him with reaction time! BUT I'm 70 yrs old ,I should know better. lol

Two weeks ago I was racing in a National SCCA event in Shelton, WA. There were three ZL1's on the blue team. The track was 2.48 miles long and only one long straight away. They were doing 165 down the straight away. I drive a Miller Cup FR500 Mustang with a transplanted Coyote Alluminator crate motor and I was lucky to hit 140. I was impressed with them, ferocious on the track and I bet comfortable too. Their's were street driven cars while mine is a full blown non street legal race car. Making me reconsider what I drive though I prefer manual over paddle shifting!!

Probably burning 87 octane from the dealership, not sure if you can still do the fuse pull on the gen 6.
