Nobody will recommend a smog shop online to smog a modded car in Ca. Your best bet is to return to stock and have smogged, I have known people to pass with a tune, but LT and changes to exhaust and intake or a no no in Cali..

Calli is very strict on emissions inspections. More than likely you will need to return to stock B4 passing. What you need to know is what cam specs you have . Changing the headers for manifolds and re tuning is easy , but swapping the cam is a bit more complicated and requires more time and experience. I suggest contacting the person you bought it from and asking about the cam specs and who did the install for him. You might get lucky and it has a stock cam and won't need to change it . The seller may have exaggerated as to the cam mod to impress you and sell the car .

guy told me it was a custom grind cam installed in Wisconsin "car originally from there" from beyondredline motorsports. Says it was for fuel milage but also some power gains. If I get lucky can I keep the intenrals and just have a stock tune. ? I dont mind swapping all the bolt ons. Thanks for the help guys. Also if the tune is from the shop how do I find out what tune they've done and can I return to that tune? Or is it even a good idea?

Call beyondredline motorsports and ask what they did as far as cam and tune , i'm sure they kept a record of it by customer name or vehicle VIN#. Better yet go over to Cunningham Motorsports in Murrieta CA ((951) 677-0716 )
and let them take a look at your car. They may be able to fix you up .

Cuningham is the best in the business in the West. If anyone can help you they can. By the way it’s not impossible to get smogged with modded cars, but nobody online is going to give a recommendation if you understand what I’m saying..

Yea unfortunately in CA backdoor deals and convos off the map is what we residents have to go through. As if we don't jump through enough hoops as it is living here!
